Bridget’s Story

Bridget grew up in Hawaii on the island of Oahu with her parents (Liz & Steve) and brothers (Steven & Thomas). She was a competitive gymnast till her early teens then plunged into water sports throughout high school: diving, water polo, and paddling. Bridget left paradise to attend Marist College on the opposite side of the country in Poughkeepsie, NY where she majored in Communications and learned how to dress for cold weather. After graduating, Bridget pursued the NYC life and began her career at an advertising agency. Bridget is now a senior marketing manager at the tech company, Squarespace (hence this Squarespace wedding website!) and is a plant mom to 20+ house plants.

Kirill’s Story

Similar to Bridget, Kirill also grew up on an island — Staten Island — with his parents (Tanya & Igor) and sister (Victoria). By the ripe age of six, Kirill’s favorite food was California sushi rolls. He seasoned his passion for food by working as a waiter and at Ben & Jerry’s during summers in high school. Kirill tried his hand at basketball but achieved similar levels of success to that of his favorite team, the Knicks. He pivoted and attended Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA where he majored in Finance. After graduating, Kirill made his way to NYC and began his career at a financial consulting company. He is now the Director of Mergers & Acquisitions at an insurance company.

Our Relationship

One day in October 2017, on the island of Manhattan, the stars aligned and Bridget and Kirill both “swiped right” on each other, becoming a “match” on a dating app. They liked each other enough to exchange phone numbers and go on a date . . . evidently the date went well! One night, about 6 months later, Bridget and Kirill were holding hands, laughing and running down 10th Avenue (for whatever reason) when a random lady on the sidewalk exclaimed, “You guys are having so much fun!” The couple quotes this often because it’s true — they really are having so much fun together and it’s one of the qualities Bridget and Kirill love most about their relationship. They are pumped to do life together.
